Can you influence using color?

4 Comments/ in Design, Inspiration, Web Design / by EosGrafx

How influenced are you by color when buying something? Do you care that it’s red, green, or blue? Are you more tempted to pay attention or to buy if it’s in red or orange?

This infographic focuses on how color may be perceived and used to influence online shoppers’ decision to buy or not a product. However, take a look at the middle section where the Buy buttons are presented, and think of how you can use color to build your brand, to establish yourself as a trusted person or brand, and to sell products or services.
For example, you might want to build your brand around the color purple and pink if your products and services are mainly for women and girls or around blue if you want to create the sensation of trust and security.

Neat infograph! I am all for the blue / green (royal blue, navy, teal) shades :) Red for me is too agressive, I’d use orange instead.

    Thanks for sharing it!

Thanks, Alicia. Blue and green are wonderful colours, one for trust and stability, and the other one for energy. Love them too!

    Great infograph.
I recently changed the colours on my website as the previous colour scheme (blue) looked a bit bland. Since I’ve changed it people are spending a lot more time on my site.

Took a peek at your site, Rob! Love the clear layout with lots of white space. Great job!
