Customize your email signature for the iPhone

12 Comments/ in Social Media / by EosGrafx
May 21, 2012

Recently I’ve got an email message and at the end it said:

‘Sent from my iPhone. Please excuse the brevity and spelling mistakes.’

It reminded my how I still had the default ‘Sent from my iPhone’ email signature and how I always delete it and replace it with some new text. I always wanted to customize it and I decided today was the day.

Here are the steps to customize your email signature:

  1. On the Welcome screen, tap Settings.
  2. On the Settings screen, scroll down and tap Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
  3. On the Mail, Contacts, Calendars screen, scroll down and tap Signature.
  4. Enter your email signature. Only text format is allowed but you can type in links and they will be displayed as clickable links when you send emails.
  5. Tap Mail to return to the previous screens.

An article that shows how to create an HTML signature. You can include your logo and links to your social media accounts using icons, so it is fancier. However, you need to be comfortable to give all your information online for the application to generate it for you: http://www.simonblog.com/2011/01/19/iphone-tip-how-to-create-html-email-signature

It’s a pity but I don’t use iPhone, and that’s why can’t express my objective opinion about customizing signature. But I guess that this can be really cool)

Thank you, Jessica! I agree it’s very useful to have it filled in when you send an email and not having to write up something quickly.

I strongly agree, signature on emails are very important to us whether personal or business. Its like branding to our selves and to our business—and let our customers know that they are important to us.
