Free timeline cover image: Inuksuk, the stone man that points the way
You might have seen this type of stone in some of our photos or elsewhere already. These stone landmarks are called Inuksuk and they can be found everywhere throughout Canada.
In fact, officials in lots of parks have to routinely dismantle the inuksuit built by campers, as they could misdirect hikers from the real markers that indicate the trails. In some provincial parks, notices are issued urging people to “stop the invasion” of Inuksuit.
